Cargo Handler-Air Transport-NOC 74202
Drive and operate ramp-servicing vehicles and equipment
Load cargo and passenger baggage efficiently
Oversee the service provided is in line with standards, including maximization of available space, load control, safety and ad hoc flight instruction
Sort cargo and passenger baggage according to instructions
Position passenger loading stairs and operate aircraft cargo doors
Unload, sort and route cargo and passenger baggage
Arrange for maintenance and repair work
Transport freight between aircraft and airport warehouse
Organize and maintain inventory
Support for Youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth, Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth, Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
Security and safety: Airport security clearance, Driver’s validity license check
Work site environment: Outdoors, Noisy, Cold/refrigerated
Work setting: Transportation, Freight forwarding
